#111 removed five notes that guard against a plausible wrong edit: is_raised must stay != CLEARED, a lockout byte has no sentinel to check, a level reads the ramp target, ModeStore holds the last broadcast not the van's state, and a quiet bus does not make bridge entities unavailable. One line each; the design essays stay out.
