Delete branch "fix/image-sort-prefix"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
#105's single-sort key negated the version tuple to get descending order, but negation does not reverse Python's rule that a shorter prefix tuple sorts first, so "2026.9" would sort newer than "2026.9.1". Dormant with three-part CalVer, wrong all the same. Back to two stable passes, the documented idiom, with a regression test.
